Kagrra or as how it is pronounced in Japanese ka-gu-ra 神樂 comes from a Japanese traditional performing art that was practiced in ancient time temples. Kagura literally means 'The Music of The Gods', a form of divine and sacred dance accompanied by holy music.
Taking in this concept Kagrra makes up a band that plays visual-kei music intertwined with ancient lyrics and sounds. Isshi(vo) who is the main lyricist of the band complements the bands namesake by writing perceptive lyrics edifying tales of lost souls and the secrets of nature. This combined with the compositions of Akiya(gu) their main music maker, presents us with one of the most authentic and rare visual band there is in the indie scene.
Formerly known as CROW under the Key Party label, Kagrra promotes a rather feminine and mystical presence.
